When Vermin Farming I get the Talons about every third run, now I'll get them every run? Wastes my time having to give them away in the district
I might farm Ghial to see if he is any better.

I've only gotten 4 or 5 greens from Factions, not including the end game rewards or the poo they pass off as greens in Shing Jea. To be honest, I still prefer Prophecies and have barely touched Factions since finishing it with my 4 main toons. I was really hoping that the "even better" weekend they mentioned before would include Tyria. I've spent so little time in Cantha, I'm not even sure where the best places to farm greens are. I'll have to do some research on the subject.

amadis is not that hard to get.. dropped the first one after 1/2h, the second 1h and half latter, with a full team of henches.
that would make 6 for 2 hours this WE..
but it's true that you hardly drop any green when you'r playing the game normaly. when I did the game for the first time, the only green i got was phi's wisdom. i don't even play a mesmer, and you know where it is :/

in a way, i'm glad that only cantha is getting this. the most coveted green items are still victo's battle axe and shield and having those go down in price would just make me sad. i kinda like seeing these items going for high prices, even if i cant afford to buy them at times.

your joking, right? both those victo turds are 10k each. hardly expensive, hardly coveted.

3x chance the boss will drop it but you'll still only have a 1 in 8 chance of getting the drop if you go with a full hench party.

Victos the most "Coveted"? Where did you get that from? Victos barely goes over 20k, and the Shield is even worse...
There are greens in Tyria itself that are worth 4x more than that. And ALOT of greens worth more than that in Cantha.

This is one I've been hoping for. I do spend a lot of my time solo/duo farming greens. My issue is this:
At this point, almost everyone who wants a certain green has gotten it. Some of us have had those 50 run grinds at one boss to get that green, or have forked over the 70k it used to take to buy a Sunreach shield, back when it was so coveted. At this point, this comes pretty late in the game (like.....2 weeks before the next one comes out, for real?!?!)
I don't want to seem ungrateful, I'm looking forward to this one. It's just that this would have been sooooo much better several months ago.

Don't be ridiculous. You bought a year old game and you get year-old-game level support. ANet needs to make a profit so they spend their time and money on generating new products and servicing their latest releases.
|
What about buying a 2005 Honda Civic? Still a year old. "Hey Honda, I have a 2005 Civic and my airbag is faulty, can you replace it?" Honda replies, "Certainly sir, bring the car in tomorrow and we'll sort it.". Suddenly not so ridiculous!
Prophecies is barely over a year old. The Event should be in Tyria too. "Hey Anet, I play in Tyria mostly, can we have a triple Green weekend too?" Anet doesn't reply.
Sorrows Furnace isn't worth the hassle any more. Do something about it Anet! Give us Tyria lovers something to smile about...

I totally agree with Legolas. What does changing drops have to do with the "level of support" for Prophecies?
How hard would it be to change the code for drops inside Sorrows Furnace? A line or two? That would take all of maybe 10 mins. It's not even an "upgrade." It's temporary change that will go back after the end of the weekend.

I don't know about the kaolin blade, but rajazans is stupidly easy to solo. It's a bit of a walk though.

His example was horrible.
I use the example of Software (which this is), Like Microsoft Windows.
Think of Tyria as Windows 98, And Cantha as Windows XP.
Microsoft no longer patches Windows 98, although it is an insanely popular OS (many argued that you should stay with it and not upgrade to XP before Service Pack 2 came out for XP because XP was buggy and full of security holes).
You have to serve your newest product.
